Session Title:

Politics of Peace

Session Convener:

Paulette Frankl

Anger in politics: group's input...

"I am angry about politics and I haven't even been bombed. My sense of pride in this country has been destroyed. I feel led by idiots. Such destructive and long-reaching pain. How do we turn this around, after we nuke them all? How can we stop this process that is generating so much anger and pain."

"Nothing makes me angrier than politics, makes me a non-participator.Candidates do not represent their constituents."

Occupation project...(Kathy Kelly's effort)

Go around and approach politicians in multiple ways asking him for his position voice our concerns, can speak only with aids, get (Salazar in Colorado) him, or hope to get him to vote against funding for Iraq and Iran.

Various quotes:

  • Women have been disenfranchised and nothing will work until balance is achieved
